Social Enterprise Qualification (S.E.Q)
0We are delighted to announce that Little Enterprise will be offering the new SEQ (Social Enterprise Qualification.)
The SEQ is an internationally recognised qualification developed by Real Ideas CIC
The qualification links core business skills to social enterprise, giving participants a unique insight in the world of social business.
The developers of the qualification – Real Ideas have said…
SEQ is a way in which learners can create positive social change whilst learning some business basics.
It enables learners to make the social change that is important to them, whilst gaining a qualification that will boost their employability. SEQ is about developing the social entrepreneurs of the future, and giving learners the skills and confidence to make change for themselves and others. It’s not just a qualification; it’s a means for change.
SEQ was piloted in England over an academic year. From henna tattoos to bird boxes, young people created a range of environmentally friendly products and services, generating income for social needs in England and overseas, all the while learning good business skills and gaining confidence to make positive social change.
Here at Little Enterprise we feel the qualification offers an amazingly innovative opportunity to gain a real insight in to running your own business with a social focus.
Participants will have the opportunity to develop their ideas, pitch for investment, gain presentation skills, learn about marketing their business through print and social media, managing business finances and growing a sustainable business model.
The qualification is aimed at young people, communities and adults wanting to find out about becoming a Social Entrepreneur whilst gaining a qualification at the same time.
The SEQ is genuinely unique and offers people the chance to run their own social enterprise within a group setting whilst linking to social entrepreneurs around the globe.
We can offer this qualification and training to schools, youth groups and communities in their own setting.
